Thank you for your support!

The need for medical care in Askar Refugee Camp is significant. UNRWA currently operates the one clinic in the camp but the hours are limited as well as what it can offer residents who have health issues. For example, there is no ultra-sound in Askar Camp, forcing individuals to seek diagnosis elsewhere. That may not seem like much, but given rampant unemployment, exacerbated by 8 months of heightened persecution, restrictions, and all manner of  aggravation, it actually places medical care beyond the reach of way too many Askar Refugee Camp residents.

We are working to open a clinic in Askar Camp that offers many diagnostic tools and equipment as well as emergency medical care — and will be available after UNRWAs clinic has closed for the day at 2pm. The clinic will offer a small laboratory (urine and blood analysis), ultra sound, an x-ray unit, an emergency room, general medicine, and a dental unit – all of which will contribute significantly to the ability to provide healthcare to the residents of Askar Refugee Camp.

Your support in helping to open a medical clinic will improve the health and well-being for thousands of Askar Camp residents.
