Askar Camp Music Lessons

Thank you everyone for helping us to reach our goal!!!

The Boulder Nablus Sister City Project invites you to join us for a Concert for a Cause.

A few of our talented friends in Nablus have offered to perform a concert via zoom on Sunday December 6 at 11am MT (1pm ET, 8pm Palestine).

The concert will feature musicians Habib Al Deek, internationally acclaimed oudist, whom you may have seen in Colorado last summer at one of his 6 performances.

Accompanying him will be Hatem Hafi, enchanting on the darbouka drum. Hatem is also the Director for the Askar Refugee Camp’s Cultural Center. They will be joined by other Nabulsi musicians.

With this concert, we aim to raise $3,000 to fund 16 music scholarships for students from Askar Camp who are enrolled in music studies.

Please join us for an event that will surely transport us to Palestine and offer us an opportunity to support art and music for Palestinian refugee children.

We are asking for a suggested $15 donation although we want you to attend regardless of whether you are able to pay more or less than that amount. Give what you can to offer a bit of light and happiness to kids whose families are unable to afford music lessons.

To attend and support the music students, go to: www.paypal.me/bnscp, and upon receipt of your donation we will send you Zoom information to attend the concert.

We look forward to seeing you at this joyful event on

Sunday December 6 at 11am MT (1pm ET, 8pm Palestine)

After the concert Hatem will share about the Askar community, the music program, and the children he hopes to support. He will take your questions so if you are interested in this dialogue you will be able to interact via the chat option on zoom.
